SNAKEBIT is the critically acclaimed play about a New York actor auditioning for a film who travels to LA with his wife to visit their longtime friend in this humorous view of modern friendship put to the test. Jonathan, an actor in low-budget action movies, has come to LA to audition for a film that could be his big chance at stardom and he's brought his wife, Jenifer, with him for support. While awaiting the outcome of the audition, they visit their oldest friend, Michael, whose boyfriend has just left him for a younger man. Over the course of several days, the three friends confront their own self-doubts and fears while revealing the long kept secrets that threaten to tear them apart.

Profiles Theatre continues their 2002/2003 season with the Off-Broadway smash-hit SNAKEBIT by David Marshall Grant. SNAKEBIT was lauded by New York critics when it recently premiered Off-Broadway. The play went on to receive a Drama Desk Award Nomination for Outstanding New Play and an Outer Critics Circle Award Nomination for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play. The New York Times hailed it, "A smart and absorbing evening of theatre!" The New York Daily News raved, "This intensely believable, smart new comic drama is first-rate!" And Time Magazine called it, "One of the best plays of the year!"

David Marshall Grant began his career as an actor, receiving his training from the Julliard School of Drama. He earned his degree in theatre from Yale Repertory Company. Mr. Grant's Broadway appearances includes "Bent", "The Survivor", and Tony Kushner's "Angels in America: Millennium Approaches", and "Angels in America: Perestroika", for which he received both a Drama Desk and Tony Award Nomination. Mr. Grant is currently working on a new play entitled "Pen".
