THE FOREIGNER was the first full length production by Profiles and was performed at the Wright College Theatre. THE FOREIGNER is set in a run down fishing lodge in rural Georgia. As the play opens, "Froggy" LeSeur, a frequent visitor from England, has brought along his friend, Charlie, a shy young man who trembles at the thought of making conversation with strangers. "Froggy" decides to tell everyone that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and cannot speak English. But he gets more than he bargained for when the other tenants freely discuss their secrets in front of Charlie, convinced he can't understand a word they're saying. But Charlie understands everything and the formerly timid young man is forced to get himself out of predicaments he never dreamed possible.
"The staging wisely lets Shue's warm laughter work its good. It delivers the story's sweet sentiment with charm and grace!"

"The charm of Shue's script comes through, especially in the hilarious scenes of ensemble acting. An enjoyable, spirited play!"
