JUMP TO COW HEAVEN is the suspenseful true story of Frank 'The Mad Axe Man' Mitchell who goes into hiding after the notorious gangsters, The Krays, mastermind his escape from prison. It's December 12, 1966 and Frank Mitchell, the vicious killer with a childlike manner, is sprung from Dartmoor Prison by the Kray Twins who hide him in a small basement flat in London. The Twins appoint John as Frank's guardian, who finds the unpredictable killer hard to control as his moods shift from playful to threatening. They also supply a prostitute, Lisa, to ease Frank's tantrums and satisfy his needs. As the largest manhunt in British history drags on, Frank's dream of a new life is crumbling and his desperation has everyone on edge.

Profiles Theatre opened their 2002/2003 season with the US Premiere of the Award-Winning JUMP TO COW HEAVEN by Gill Adams. Praised by London critics as a gripping triumph of tension and suspense, JUMP TO COW HEAVEN won the 'First of the Fringe First Award', which is given to the best play at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The Evening News hailed it, "A great new play that will send shivers down your spine!" The Times raved, "Adams neatly mixes fright and comedy into her villain's broth," while the Daily Telegraph exclaimed, "A cracker of a play!"
