CARNAL KNOWLEDGE follows the relationships and sexual attitudes of two men beginning with their college days in the 1940s when both men fall in love with the same woman. The second half of the play finds the old friends, now middle-aged, lost in the bitterness and disillusionment of the 1960s. This was the original play that was adapted into the acclaimed 1971 film. The play was unavailable for production for almost twenty years and Profiles presented the Chicago premiere.
"Truthful, affecting and nasty! A classic!"
"Funny and compelling, a fine production by Profiles!"
"Expert, intelligent, and intense. You'd be a fool to miss this play!"
